The Karelian Isthmus

Karelia
"The sound of thousand warriors
The fields of thousand battles
Still, in our hearts we can hear
the great hymn of Karelia."

The Gathering
As I sense their steel,
As I see the mighty one,
As we all gather once again
the gods of war summon us...
summon us
North wind blows to our valley
men with ships, with swords, with honour
Their horses between flames,
their dogs eating enemy childs,
Our heavenly father, what is this mortality,
do you see my mortal agony
Look, I see the shield up high
this must be the sign from my lord
this can be my death - sentence
what a fine day to die
Taste of blood comes up high
Wind blows hard, our men fall...
one by one
This oath claims me
I must bleed for my generation
Strong is the enemy,
strong is my sword
the hammer is rising
I feel their cold steel
Now when I leave this world
I shall open the mighty oaken gate
and we all shall gather once again

Grails Mysteries
I shall have a son,
out of Cornwall shall he come,
that shall be a wild boar,
bristled with steel...
he shall be a man most brave and
noble in thought
Thou shall kneel for him,
for every man shall humble in front of our lord
I stood upon the sand of the sea
and the great wind told me to carry on
He shall once know the secret of Holy Grail
And so was the coronation made
And there was he,
sworn unto his lords and the commons
to be true king

Warriors Trail
As the sun falls down
and the swell crashes into the shore
The great warriors of doom and wind
ride high
Silent is the silence,
the only breathing of horses sound,
Cold northern steel, shining blade, pleases us
And we all live under the black mark
Oh lord, lead us to the paradise
My lord, is this the promised land
is this your gift
Let us fly into your dreams
Let us taste some blood
Sorrow - the unknown force
Hate - respect your enemy
Bitterness - shall be forever
Silence - nothing left
Let us fly into your dreams
Let us taste some blood

Black Embrace
Terror, when the darkness binds your limbs
Terror, when the fear freezes your nerves
Horror, when the pain climbs up your veins
Darkness, creeping under you skin
Moment of life,
when we all have to choose,
which way to go
and for whom to sacrifice your life
Invoke the god - pray
To lead you back to life - pray
Cursed by religion - hate
Learned upon church - fake
In the verge of hell,
of human mind
Redemption of your soul,
as darkness binds you tight
Moment of life,
when we all have to choose,
which way to go
and for whom to sacrifice your life

Exile of the Sons of Uisliu
A wave the sound of Noisiu's voice
his singing was ever sweet...
Noisiu's grave has now been made
and the accompaniment was mournful
For him I poured out - hero of heroes,
the deadly drink that killed him
Dear his short shining hair
a handsome man, even very beautiful
Dear the grey eyes that women loved
fierce they were foes

The Lost Name of God
We have to know, we have to see
Religions so many, which one of them are so real,
That it makes us to believe ?
Crushing the chains of faith
To find the way of immortality,
We're hiding behind the cross
To find shelter,
we're searching for the name of god
In this maze of hatred
The name of god is lost
Under the flag of salvation
we are cleared this land of pagans
Under the cover of Christianity,
we stained our hands in blood
At these times of anguish
The name of God is lost
"I saw the coming of the end,
Sun stopped its shining,
Air is no longer fresh,
Then it was too late to realize,
that we can't breathe our hate."
The lost name of God

The Pilgrimage
In his eyes
The evil spirit rise
Turns to darkness with Satan's name
"As the time is right
dead bodies rise up from their graves
And when the time comes near
Oh, I see the prince of glory"
Holy month
Sacred hounds
Under the hill
Do you hear their call

Misery Path
We sail across the sea,
In our thoughts we float over mountains
All this vanity that we could hide
The truth
The truth is to be alive
and to live your life in fear by hate
and create our own gods
We all ourselves are created
our own images
Ourselves we are created
our own gods
In the misty morning
When the sun is rising,
When the whole sky is red like blood
Man can realize the real meaning of life
to love and respect your life
Your salvation,
or is just your damnation.
We all ourselves...

Signs from the North Side
True Celtic power
from the cape of Cornwall
Cry of hope, angels cry
This was omen, our sign, prediction
Distant gate, gothic grave
Through ages our clan still remain
In this proud land I grew up strong,
My tears are flowing all around
The wind is twisting my sorrow
I still believe in truth and hate
All through my life I have carried our ring,
The omen
All this was the fragment from my life
In this proud land I was born alone
I was taught to fight, taught to win
They told me the way of steel and secret
I am the unburied child, child without a nam,
Without fate,
I fight for peace and love,
I am reborn

Vulgar Necrolatry
Erosion of life I see
it makes the passion burn in me
Life it always withers away
Death will eternally stay
Corpses in their coffins
forever rest in peace?
There sleeping with the aspergillus
is this justice to the dead?
The atrocious sight of burial ecremony
Christians weeping for the departed
They won't understand, they should envy them!
The deceased they know, if there's a paradise
Or shall we feel, the purgatory!
I open the graves, admire the rot
I can feel the presence, of something beyond
Aureola of nauseating reek
Wings of shriveled skin
Holy beauty of a carcass
Divine sight for me to gaze upon!
Necrolatic! Reverence for putrefaction
Necrolatic! reverence for the stench
I kneel, before a carrion
I pray, before the dead
I know, they shall rise
I fear, for the scourge
I revere, power of the dead

Tales From The Thousand Lakes

Into Hiding The islander slips into hiding And takes to his heels Out of dark Northland The murky house of Sara He whirled out of doors as snow Arrives as smoke in the yard To flee from bad deeds There he had to become someone else He must change his shape As an eagle he swept up Wanted to soar heavenward The sun burnt his cheeks The moon lit his brows The Castaway A bird flew out of Lapland An eagle from the North East One wing ruffled the water And the other swept the sky It's tail skimmed the sea It flutters, it glides It looks, it turns round "Why, man are you in the sea Fellow, among the billows?" First Doom The mountains of North Shall erupt and flames Of darkland will raise Hail to one who hails Blood for one who bleeds O you mistress of northland Queen of darkland I may wash my hands of the Evil master's blood For that is no man's doom Which I bring That is child's doom And it shall be the First doom Black Winter Day This is how the lucky feel How the blessed think Like daybreak in spring The sun on a spring morning But how do I feel In my gloomy depths? Like the flat brink of a cloud Like a dark night in autumn A black winter day No, darker than that Gloomier than an autumn night Drowned Maid I went to wash at the shore I went to bathe in the sea And there I, a hen, was lost I, a bird Untimely died Let not my brother Ever in this world Water his war-horse Upon the seashore! Waters of the sea So much blood of mine Fishes of the sea So much flesh of mine Such the death of the young maid End of the fair little hen In the Beginning I have a good mind Take into my head To start of singing Began reciting We seldom get together And meet each other On these poor borders The luckless lands of the north Those words we have got From the North's furthest fields, From the heaths of Kalevala Forgotten Sunrise Once I had a mind And thoughts was given But nowadays, in this evil age All my sense is somewhere else Once I had a soul I was one with my god But now I am abandoned Banished from these lies Long my tale's been in the cold For ages has lain hidden I know how to bewitch fire And how to fame flames I know how to banish worms And turn snakes away To Fathers Cabin O old man, good god Careful man of heaven Keeper of storm clouds Make misty weather And create a tiny cloud In whose shelter I may go Magic and Mayhem Hey there, tiny wench My perpetual serf Put stew in a pot Bring water for the guest Before we part Before your neck is broken You strike first Son of the north

Black Winter Day

Black Winter Day This is how the lucky feel How the blessed think Like daybreak in spring The sun on a spring morning But how do I feel In my gloomy depths? Like the flat brink of a cloud Like a dark night in autumn A black winter day No, darker than that Gloomier than an autumn night Moon and Sun Where has the sun gone from us Where is the moon lost to us The moon will not gleam at all Nor will the sun shine at all Death opens its mouth The son of the Northlander Camo to look, to listen "There beyond the river is hero walking" He took one step and took another To the north's shore he hurried He drew his sword, wrenched the iron Snatched from the sheath the harsh one Upon whose point the moon shone Upon whose hilt the sun flashed Upon whose back a horse stands He uttered a word, spoke thus, "There the sun has gone from you The sun gone and the moon lost" Moon and Sun Part II: North's Son Go, look at the moon And inspect the sun! Now they are in the sky Right in their old places Hail, moon, for gleeming Fair one for showing your face Dear sun for dawning And daylight for coming up! Dear moon, you're out from the rock Fair day from the cliff You've risen as a golden cuckoo As a silver dove Up to where you used to live Fare well now upon Your way, upon your journey Sweetly end your curve beautifully Come at evening into joy!

Elegy

Better Unborn Better it would be for me And better it would have been Had I not been born, not grown Not been brought into the world Not had to come to this earth Not been suckled for the world If I'd died a three-night-old Been lost in my swaddling hand I'd have needed but a span of doth A span more of wood, But a cubit of goof earth Two words from the priest Three verses from the cantor One clang from the bell Against Widows The Devils weds a widow Death another's leftovers Better to lie on a willows Rest on alder boughs Then upon a widow's bed On a used woman's pillow Sweeter the side of a fence Then a widow's flank Softer the side of a grove Than a widow's beside is The Devil weds a widow The grave one twice wed A widow's hand is rougher Than a dry spruce bough With which she strikes the playful Grabs the one who laughs A widow has had her games And spent a merry evening The Orphan The calloo's spirits are low Swimming on the chill water But the orphan's are lower Walking down the village street. The sparrow's belly is chill Sitting on the icy bough But my belly is more chill As I step from glade to glade. The dove's heart is cold As it pecks the village rick But I'm colder still As I drink the icy water. On Rich and Poor Old folk remember And those today learn How before their time Life was different here: Without the sun people lived Groped about without the moon With candles sowing was done Planting performed with torched. At the time we lived Without the sunshine Who had covered up our sun And who had hidden our moon? Without the moonlight stumbled With our fists fumbled the land With our hands we sought out roads With hands roads, with fingers swamps We could seek out the sun Who spy out the moon? Who else if not God The one son of God? My Kantele Truly they lie, they talk utter nonsense Who say that music reckon that the kantele Was fashioned by a god Out of a great pike's shoulders From a water-dog's hooked bones: It was made from the grief Moulded from sorrow Its belly out of hard days Its soundboard from endless woes Its strings gathered from torments And its pegs from other ills So it will not play, will not rejoice at all Music will not play to please Give off the right sort of joy For it was fashioned from cares Moulded from sorrow. Cares Many rocks the rapid has A lot of billows the sea More plentiful are my cares Then cones on a spruce Beard moss on a juniper Gnarls upon a pine bark Knobs upon a fir Husks on a grass-top Boughs on a bad tree. Drag my cares away Carry off my griefs For no horse can draw No iron-shod jerk Without the shaft-bow shaking off The cares of this skinny one The sorrows of this black bird Song of the Troubled One What the thrush toils at The partridge asks for The hapless one takes The troubled one steals Puts upon a spade Sets on a runner Hides under a door Shields with a bath-whisk The farmer hammers And tempers his spears Marries off his sons Hands out his daughters In boots clogged with ckay In fancy mittens The sea-swell rumbles And the winds it blows And the king hears it From five miles away From six directions From seven back woods From eight heaths away. Weeper on the Shore In the vale where I once listened out for the light Where the little birds warble The ptarmigans babble And my heart looked for some rest from its trouble I cast my eyes downward upon the seaside And a fair young girl on the shore I espied Who was sitting and weeping To see the waves leaping And over the skyline sad vigil was keeping. O why are you weeping alone on the shore? Now still from your eyes I can see the tears pour. What sorrow and smart So pierces your heart That even at midnight it will not depart? Elegy Long evenings full on longing Low-spirited my mornings Full of longing too my nights And all times the bitterest. 'Tis my lovely I long for It is my darling I miss My black-browed one I grieve for. There's no hearing my treasure No seeing my marten-breat No hearing her in the lane Driving below the window Chopping the wood by the stack Clinking outside the cook-house: In the eart my berry lies In the soil she's mouldering Under the sand my sweet one Beneath the grass my treasure The one I grieve for.

My Kantele

My Kantele Truly they lie, they talk utter nonsense Who say that music reckon that the kantele Was fashioned by God Out of a great pike's shoulders From a water-dog's hooked bones: It was made from grief It's belly out of hard days Its sound board from endless woes Its strings gathered from torments And it pegs from other ills Truly they lie, they talk utter nonsense So it will not play, will not rejoice at all Music will not play to please Give off the right sort of joy For it was fashioned from cares Mouldered from sorrow The Brother Slayer Where have you been, where have you been my son, my merry son? On the seashore, on the seashore mother, my darling one. And what have you been doing there my son, my merry son? I have been watering my horse mother, my darling one. Why is there blood upon your feet my son, my merry son? My horse stamped with its iron shoe mother, my darling one. Why there is blood upon your sword my son, my merry son? I have stabbed my brother to death mother, my darling one. What now of you, where will you go my son, my wretched son? To other lands to foreign lands my dame, my darling one. When will you be returning home my son, my wretched son? When all the world to judgement comes my dame, my darling one. Levitation In the darkness I will shine, cast no shadows, not define I walk on water, float on air, there's no other to compare I have this fascination, no cause for deviation It's called levitation There's no cause to start and scream, nor rub your eyes, This is no dream Although I sit upon this chair, I rise and float up in the air I have this fascination, no cause for deviation It's called levitation Magnetic force, repel-attract, once it starts, there's no turning back I offer you this chance to learn, take it now there's no return And I Hear Your Call I must be out of my mind as I hear you call My name is even though I can't see you anywhere Surely this feeling must be coming from something Someone gave me yesterday as I searched for you And I hear you call I hear you call my name But when I turn around There's nothing to be found I must be dreaming a dream of a lunatic My fingers taste like some strawberry ice-cream I hear you call my name but I don't think it's The same I heard you whisper in my ear

Tuonela

The Way Forging the future from the timeless stone Oh let me know how far I can go Answering the questions thet no one ever asks Float through the sea of madness And face the everlasting task So lonely to wander So sad to be alone In the mist of the unknown Trying to fool myself with dreams that never come true So hard to stand my ground Never again will I fail [Chorus:] Will you tell me not to wait Tell me to live for today As the flowers wither I will forget my pain Since the stars have shone The devil has shown me the way [Chorus] Morning Star You live only for yourself Or send your soul to the heaven's grace Been weak as the autumn leaves Or strong as the growing seed Swallowed into the black Search for entrace [Chorus:] Wathc to the eyes of morning star Beckon for the savior But it's much too far Reach for the infinity The only thing that remains is decay Nightfall As a rot to rape the spring sown seed A plague sprang forth of his tracks Churns ran red when cows milked blood And famine cracked poor backs Who would hear a lament sad Under the bright blue sky That's sung in hovels dark and low With eyes too weak to cry [Chorus:] But horror be the nightfall's gloom For the man upon the road When moon doth laugh at worthless lives Twice hard for all promise showed Empty stare upon his face Nine fathoms deep He set upon the road again On ground that bears no seed Tuonela Sorrow is my bread And tears I drink as wine Oblivion my happiness Ground under teeth of time For cold be the stone When frost ve devoured the land Consolation is no gift Of winter's icy hand [Chorus:] Upon a crust of snow I'll lay my broken frame What steel and iron won't take I'll give in winter's name No good a sullen sout no use a simple knave No groom for brides of plaited hair This man old and lame If only I could breathe To see the sun of may but still longer are the nigths than days As I wither away Came the man of crown With sound of war drums beat Said no sword arm's strong enough Without my two good feet [Chorus] But not overlooked am I In eyes of the maid I'll wed I'll reap the crops of Tuonela My bride's wealth in death Greed Not thirsty am I for the blood Of redeemer of thy greed My hunger can't be satisfied With flesh of thy nazarene No gilded streets of heaven's grace Entice me in thy speech No holy mother doth condone All your pillage war and greed But know thee that all oceans worth Of waters turned holy Won't change the course of river That runs inside of me My blood flows ever skyward And pools where thy black is white For woulst thou not carme at my soul With sword of thy supreme truth Strike me down on my bended knees For thy baptism so soothe My blood flows ever skywawrd And pools where thy black is white Alone am I to raise my head In the starless forest night Divinity Last day brings the grace For bearers of forbidden name Step into five fold mace As son as father in a frame [Chorus:] Someday fire wipes the rain Fears are frozen tears whisper Things that no one heras Cry now, cry now for me again Tomorrows pride and pain Why you kneel before my name Crushing my belief And make shape to my relief For who you set your prayers I can't hear them anyway [Chorus] Shining My soul is bleeding I feel so small Afraid that this will never end I can't understand the pain in my bones I sleep through another trance Climb over the rainbow From here you can see so much I need someone to take me down But who can you trust [Chorus:] Got so many things to say But it's something I don't wanna be Gotta get away case it's time to shine Like a fallen angel I run I won't ever see the sun See the circle is now complete Yet the harvest remains undone Where hemlock grows and vermin crowl All dreams descend with fear Crushed by the darkness that wells inside That beast I hold so dear Withered Withered be the flower Long past it's prime and bloom Forgotten on the stony bed This silent hillside tomb For coppered be the grip Of this wooded land A crude cold gauntlet Hides the boney hand Tears once warmed the ground Torn out of eyes that could cry no more Compassion for the wind to take O doth pity the bastard poor A life of misery and hate Upon a chance a twist of fate The poison from the goblet ran Down the throat of her drunken man Rusty Moon Bahted in the rust of moon Is the death beds lullaby Sung so softly with the stars Reflected in her eyes [Chorus:] It's the blaze that beckons men Into the woods, of beaten path Is the sight of the fire that No maiden's eyes should have Iron does as iron's told And drinks of life's red gold But shame won't leave with dying breathe The life that wants it's own death And the forest hums its silent hymn Heard by those of solitude As mist it wells Up the brook's dark banks Bewitched by there fir woods [Chorus] Summer's End In the morning mist by the waning moon through the woods she set on foot With a sacred blade cut the berries down Dug up the dreaded mandrake root [Chorus:] Tread my path to summer's end This bequest I leave you she says You will see what could be evergreen Turn to copper and fade to gray By the standing stones Atropine eyes smiled at me Sitting in a sluggish vertigo Sands of time form another dream No love without sacrifice No lige springs without decay The final kiss is a wormy one In soils cold caress to rest we'll lay [Chorus]

Am Universum

Alone Tear dimmed rememberance In a womb of time Breath upon me Possessed by the passion Fate will set you free Infertile Chased be the precious When flesh is an enemy Fair weather man [pre-chorus:] step aside from the way of a better man than you so you fall at his feet he's the one who betrays you it's the servants devotion for the decay stand up [chorus:] there are no flowers on your grave there are no chains there I keep chanting for the forgotten name why you feel so empty and still have everything it's fullfilment I've got more companions when I'm all alone flesh is fetching Goddess (Of The Sad Man) Astonishment when I bend over you creep Put a noose around my neck Which side I deside it's my time to reap It's your side wicked and deaf Take me to the place I can sleep Wipe away all misery Turn my path away From the mind tearing tragedy Consuming range of vision I can see they decline It's a stay of execution I fly free tonight [chorus:] New moon laughs on it's own Without compassion I crawl through the realms unknown And kneel to the goddess of the sad man Inhale all mists from the shadows And hide before the dawn Face your mortal horror You won't be reborn Is he a proud man or just a fraud Fooling himself with a losers talk Punished to eternal vanity It's thy destiny to cry for purity You infidel slime I grace insanity satisfy my agony I know what my goddess needs I bet there's something wrong inside my psycho creep fire burns within her eyes take me to the deadly ride I remember how she was when she choked on her own pride [chorus] The Night Is Over We craved the light from the darkness It's a morning of misfortune The dawn of a mankind Listen to me instead of a blind folk's speak Forget the mature plan We are but humans you'll see [chorus:] I can hear the silence See invisible emptiness Tarnish the halo of your guidance And the night is over That women in grief Luxurious gehenna And what I have become What I have done to you Listen to me instead of a blind folk's speak Forget the mature plan We are but humans you'll see [chorus] Shatters Within Once I was there Standing outside Looking in Beside my window Smiling face, shattering It's an old man's pride That climbs over understanding It wasn't your child That I was hurting [pre-chorus:] And I turn my back to the world Well I don't care What can I say if I see you all as dead [chorus:] Under the dying sun it comes Weaving fear but I have none I know that mushroom cloud Won't come very near What do you have to believe in And all the poison you breath in The crystal heart shatters within once I was there standing outside moving in inside my window crying face, shattering take all that you have and leave the rest for today it's the old folk's sign that took away your chastidy [pre-chorus] [chorus] Crimson Wave She's riding on a crimson wave Truth sat on her shoulder Planets before melting face The keys for the wounded Sinking into underground Please the one who wants it Something is pulling you down It's not the cravings why you need it [pre-chorus:] It's a rush hour inside my head Don't wanna share the anguish And I will take it away from you Before you can change it [chorus:] That bastard hallucination's pushing me Like a damned I walk over Touch the sky when it's burning red Standing the ground I have chosen Shivering in outer space There's no one who can hear you Getting into different state It's like getting nowhere Gathering all those fears and fails There's no one who can see you Someone is pulling you down It's not the cravings why you need it [pre-chorus] [chorus] Drifting Memories How does it feel Blessed to receive Be modest and forgiving How does it feel You can try to hate me But you're only hurting yourself [chorus:] Drifting in your shady memories Where to go when sorrow breeds Let the fear run through Breath in black and stiffling air All those words they disappear No need to rest it's too early to die You don't have to say Why rue for that day When you've open up your eyes again Now it's your fate Face your heart ache You wish to make it unreal [chorus] Forever More I walk down to the seashore To bury my hate I wait till the morning of the mourning But it's too late Down to the seashore Through the illuminous gate You wait for tomorrow but today is today No one can understand my pain [chorus:] Find me the ocean Where waters stand still Nothing can befall evermore Find me the ocean which swallows all that floats It's time to prevail your conspiracy It's a whisper of a dead man I've heard it before It's yearning my emotions Before I was born It was only delusion Of illuminous gate 'cause today is the day [chorus] Calm is the breath that breaks the circle of silence Like the whisper of a dying man Who was born in his own funeral Time is right for the twisted one Guide me to the center of the vicious goal You're my prey, kiss my arrow the silver Veil Of Sin For the cold pale women I leave some of my goodness I leave the veil of sin And let go my dreams [pre-chorus:] Eternity follows me everywhere Your words so hollow won't go anywhere Distant shadows disappears It searches the gate beyond the stars And there I can see her again [chorus:] Tell me why you have to be so pure and wrong And I'm alive to be here Is it just an omen Is it me walking blindly I will find the answer When I wake up from my dream [pre-chorus] And there I can kill her again [chorus] Captured State So many years I've been fading And closed the doors behind Pay that price if you lost it all The end is not the past recall [pre-chorus:] Waiting for the enclosening darkness And there you will be the light As it's carved in your soul Step out from your mould [chorus:] The captured mind is a captured state But only free will has it's sustain You burn away all you once loved Now it's time to turn away It's all too clear you've been hiding Nothing to tell but lies Feel shame when you distain it all Your stand is not the past recall [pre-chorus] [chorus] Grieve Stricken Heart Your helping hand is killing me If you see me suffer it's not your victory Sadistic forms of new way discipline Like I love myself I love to sin [pre-chorus:] And I want more And I want it low Of course you wont forgive me But I wont crawl Look out for number one I pray on you it has begun Let the night stand one thousand years Longstanding ,everlasting Breathless masquerade I'm your devil in disguise [pre-chorus] [chorus:] Grieve stricken heart Calls upon you Grieve stricken heart My only look you fools I love my misery too I'm the one to see your collapse I'm on the side of destruction On the side of black and I love to sin Mentally transmitted disease Rotten wretched attraction And I love myself [pre-chorus] [chorus]
