A video for Sevendust's current single, "Enemy" has been posted online over at their official site. The video features former WWE star Chyna and is inspired by the hilarious underground kung-fu movie, "The Crippled Masters". And of course, the song comes from their new album, "Seasons", due out on October 7th.

Soulfly frontman Max Cavalera has left the band. Apparently, Max and his manager(and wife) Gloria fired bassist Marcello D. Rapp, which led drummer Ray Mayorga and guitarist Mike Doling to leave. Cavalera has already started searching for new musicians. Oh well...I am not too disappointed about this break-up since "3" was released...

The album's tentative release date is the end of October through Transmission Records. They have also finished the majority of material on their new full-length album due out in early 2004 (also tentative).
Both of these albums, as does anything After Forever creates, should kick ass...I can't wait to see what they produce to follow up 2001's absolutely amazing Decipher.

In other Mushroomhead news, drummer Skinny has responded to comments by Slaves on Dope guitarist Kevin Jardine that Mushroomhead ripped them off by also covering "Crazy" by Seal:
"The only reason we did that song was that we were working with [producer-engineer] Matt Wallace. He suggested the song," he said. "The band definitely didn't know about Slaves On Dope. If they had the same management, we didn't know it. October 23 will be 10 years that Mushroomhead have been playing together. Who are Slaves On Dope again?"

Headbanger's Ball cd track list - revmaynard

The track list for the upcoming MTV2 Headbanger's Ball compilation cd has been announced and is listed below. The compilation includes 2 cd's, the first one being a collection of the more established, well-known bands. While the second cd will be containing the up and comers in the heavy metal scene (In Flames an up and comer?). On top of that, the cover art is being designed by the very good Cleveland artist Derek Hess. I for one think this compilation does a good job of representing where heavy metal in the US stands right now....anyway, the track list is as follows:

Wayne Static and Tripp Eisen of Static-X are set to premiere the video for "The Only" on this weekend's Headbanger's Ball on MTV2 where they will be guests on the show. Also, Wayne will be hosting the show on September 27th and October 4th in place of Jamey Jasta who is presently on tour with Hatebreed.

According to Dotmusic.com, Billy Corgan has confirmed that his latest group, Zwan, has broken up after only one release, "Mary Star of the Sea". Corgan is to concentrate on solo material for the time being.

Vaders new MCD entitled "Blood" comes out the 22nd of this month, however conflicting information says the 25th, although both dates are earlier than expected. I hope it lives up to their performance at the Polish Woodstock, which I'm told was simply amazing. The cover art looks... well... bloody. Slaves on Dope have made available for download their cover of Seal's 'Crazy' at their site, www.slavesondope.com. This is probably in response to Mushroomhead announcing that they're including their cover of the same song on their new album, XIII. Apparantly Slaves on Dope were going to re-issue their current cd, 'Metafour', around Christmas with a bonus DVD that was going to include the song, but now that Mushroomhead beat them to it, I guess they just decided to release it for free.
