Limp Bizkit booed off stage, Fred throws a fit - revmaynard
(Mon Jul 28 21:56:18 2003)
This is simply hilarious. On Saturday's stop of the Summer Sanitarium tour in Chicago, the crowd incited a profanity laced temper tantrum out of Fred Durst after booing the band and throwing trash onstage.

"The famously brainless Durst only fanned the flames, first encouraging the catcalls and flying trash, then swerving into a bizarre tirade against the crowd and city. Ranting that he'd fight anyone in earshot and spluttering explicit sexual putdowns, uncreative curses and ludicrous homophobic slurs, Durst simply self-destructed."

Ha. Anyway, the full story can be read over at The Chicago Sun-Times.

(Bad) Immortal News - 4L145
(Sat Jul 19 16:36:59 2003)
There have been rumors Immortal has decided to split up. All shows will be cancelled. Reasons are still unknown.

It could have something to do with line up problems. For Iscariah (bass) decided to leave the band, replaced by Saroth. And now Horgh (drums) is working on a new Black/Death Metal project from Norway called Grimfist.

sh*t... one I really was hoping to see live...

Coal Chamber makes it official - revmaynard
(Sat Jul 12 03:42:47 2003)
Well, to the surprise of no one, Coal Chamber is now officially a thing of the past according to guitarist Miguel "Meegs" Rascon:

"After COAL CHAMBER, I went through a rough time, and having gone through that, I'm happy to have found five individuals [in my new band] that are not only musically talented, but have become my best friends. . . I apologize if we haven't answered all questions, but I promise we will in due time. In the future, I will discuss everything that happened with COAL CHAMBER, because there's alot of light that needs to be shed on the subject. I'm going to wait for the smoke to clear before I go further into COAL CHAMBER details. My time with [COAL CHAMBER] was one of the most fun and rewarding times of my life. However, it was time for everyone in [COAL CHAMBER] to move on."

Metallica's Summer Sanitarium setlist - revmaynard
(Mon Jul 7 02:53:55 2003)
According to www.metontour.com, Metallica's setlist for the opening night of the Summer Sanitarium tour was as follows:

01. Battery
02. Master of Puppets
03. Harvester of Sorrow
04. Welcome Home (Sanitarium)
05. For Whom The Bell Tolls
06. Frantic
07. Sad But True
08. St. Anger
09. Fuel
10. Seek and Destroy
11. Blackened

First Encore:
12. No Remorse
13. Nothing Else Matters
14. Creeping Death

Second Encore:
15. One
16. Enter Sandman

Look at that...two songs off of the new cd. Now to me, that right there shows that even Metallica themselves know their new album is sh*t. If they truly thought the new songs were so great, 80% of the setlist would be new songs, just like every other band does when they have a new cd. Hell, the only reason they even played two of the new songs is cause they're the singles and they have to at least try to promote the new cd.

16 - Lamb Of God - "11th Hour"

The album is due out on August 5th, and looks to be quite intriguing with alot of new songs from good artists. That's what makes a good soundtrack, how many new songs are on it...nobody wants to hear a compilation album of songs they've already heard.
